Mehr über diese Rasse

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a delightful blend of intelligence, loyalty, and affection. With its origins as a cattle herder, this breed showcases a strong, low-set body with short legs and a deep chest, making it both a powerful and agile worker. Weighing between 25 to 34 pounds, these corgis feature a variety of coat colors, including the striking blue-merle pattern.

Unlike their Pembroke cousins, Cardigans proudly sport a tail. Their double coat is straight and rough, requiring moderate grooming. Cardis are highly trainable and protective, boasting a 'big dog' bark that makes them excellent watchdogs.

They are incredibly affectionate towards families and children, and they get along well with other pets when properly socialized. Their high activity level and need for mental stimulation make them thrive in environments where they can engage in physical and mental challenges. With a lifespan of around 14 years, these playful, vocal, and adaptable dogs bring joy and companionship to any home, making them cherished members of the family.
